Founded by Gary Anglin in September of 1966, G. W. Anglin Manufacturing occupied a rented barn in Windsor, Ontario to service the machine tool industry through design, fabrication, and installation of safety equipment. Recognizing that diversification was necessary for continued growth, CNC punching and plasma arc machines were purchased in 1980 allowing a marked increase in production volumes.
By 1988 G. W. Anglin Manufacturing further expanded the scope of its’ business by fabricating and installing service equipment for vehicles in the telecommunications and utilities industries. Also, the company expanded its manufacturing capabilities augmenting the original 15,000 square foot facility with an additional 10,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
During the early 1990's a manufacturing software package including Profit Key, and CAD systems, was implemented to control production, processes, and costs. To support the rapidly increasing customer base, GWA continued to add modern equipment, and valued employees. In January 1997 the company achieved the ISO 9002/QS 9000 accreditations through KPMG to remain on the forefront of manufacturing and technological change.
By 1998 the company was on the move again, commissioning a 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to secure our position of excellence into the new millennium.
G.W Anglin looks forward to continuing to supply superior products and services in an increasingly competitive and ever-changing business world.
